It was great having the gang to see us for the 4th. Becky made cheesecake for us. There was a bbq, fireworks, shopping, lunches out, swimming at the lake, a baseball game, bowling... GREAT times!
Dedicated to family travel. This blog used to be about the "girls only" trips, but lately I've decided it'll do nicely for all our travel adventures whether lots of us are going or only one or two of us.

Shelley, Mom, and Chuck to Sharmi's.
Two more high school graduates and lots of cake and loot!
Good times!

More from the Panama Canal Cruise
The ship at night.
She's a beauty.
It seems odd to me that the pool deck is so empty during a dance class.
Mom said they were probably at port.
A very colorful house!

Panama Canal
This shows where they are widening the canal so that larger ships can come through.
As their ship was passing though, a cargo ship was doing the same thing next to them. This is where a balcony room comes in handy!
The orange & white container ship was with us all day going through the canal. Was interesting to see how they lowered the water under it to get it through the locks. Did the same with us, but they are so narrow we couldn't see it.
Cartegena, Columbia
We took a ride in a horse drawn buggy through the old city. A huge wall surrounds it to keep the pirates out in the old days. This is a beautiful old city and so clean.
